Back to School Block Party 2009
by stephanie ()A special thank you to all who helped contribute $$, backpacks, school supplies, food, volunteers, and prayers for the Block party on August 15, 2009. Over 700 children came and received school supplies & backpacks, and everyone had fun on the water slides & inflatables! 27 people prayed to receive Christ that day- an amazing day in the Lord! Hopefully someone took pictures or video and we will post them soon!
Back to School Block Party 2009
by jake ()On Saturday, August 15, 2009 from 10 AM until 2 PM, we will host our 4th annual Back to School Block party. Our goal is to provide over 600 new backpacks and school supplies to the children in downtown Knoxville. This is an awesome opportunity to meet some special children downtown, and meet an important need by providing new backpacks & school supplies, but also a fun day in Jesus' name!! A great way to have fun in the Son!!
Volunteer Update:
by stephanie ()Approximately 100 volunteers are needed to make this run smoothly in areas such as setup, carnival games, registration, school supplies, water slides, dunking booth, snow cone machine, contests, prize table, lunch, trash control, security, and clean up. If you would like to work in any of these areas, please register via thewaterangels@gmail.com
